margie says: Enjoyed this story about a young woman who inherits assets from an unknown person overseas. It was a bit like a made for TV movie. Good story, easy to follow, not that deep, but it was engaging and easy to read. I liked the premise that a woman who makes unconventional choices in life may be happier than the woman who goes the traditional route of wife and mother. The story was set in 1920s and 1960s when it was more radical for some to depart from the traditional path. cub says: I en...joyed this. Perhaps more of a feminine book, centred around scents, clothes, relationships, self discovery with a whiff of intrigue. But I was enchanted by the way memory and aromas intertwined their way through the threads of the plot, even if some of the marginal characters were a little more predictable and less believable than the main protagonists.
