John Denvir (1843-1916) was a Catholic journalist, editor and author. Amongst the newspapers he edited were the Catholic Times, United Irishman, The Nationalist and the Northern Press. His works include: The Irish in Britain: From the Earliest Times to the Fall and Death of Parnell (1892), The Brandons: A Story of Irish Life in England (1903), Olaf the Dane (1908) and his autobiography; The Life Story of an Old Rebel (1910).
