Adityavarna says: 3.5 stars- don't get me wrong, this book has a beautiful writing style. Robyn Schneider is wonderful and hilarious. Her characters and plot, however...First of all, the whole "everyone has a tragedy" thing is kind of flawed. I don't know if it's a preference thing, but I would much rather shatter my knee than catch a severed head on my 12th birthday. And speaking of, Ezra is incredibly mopey. Not only does he ditch his best friend (twice!) but he happens to think that his proble...ms are the center of the universe and that being popular is the main goal. I mean, he's in high school, so who blames him, but he forgets about everyone else's "tragedies". Ugh. This main character though. myriad11 says: Actual Rate may be 2.5I'm so sorry but I have to write this: I didn't enjoy this at all. I was annoyed the whole time, confused and unconvinced. Maybe if you haven't read a lot of books or it was your first time, you would somehow enjoy this even a little but I won't recommend this to anyone. And I am really sorry to admit that while reading, I wished I bought a different book. The first thing that bothered me is how unconvincing it is that I am reading a guy's perspective. I just can't. Second, this one particularly annoyed me, there are A LOT of side stories and information that you would consider irrelevant to the predictable and clichéd story plot. I hate how indecisive the protagonist was, how unconvincing the reasons are, how awful it is to just read and not get attached to the characters. I just. Ugh. It's so frustrating. Like reading 50 shades all over again but less disgusting and annoying. I'm so sorry.MoreLessRead More Read Less

Haven't read it yet but really don't appreciate people in comments spoiling the ending.

I hate the ending. This book was a waste of my time as I like books with drama but the couple should always get back together.

I LOVED this book! I did not expect to enjoy it as a 30yr old but I really did. The story is presented from a teenager's point of view so yes the main character has a lot of growing, but I enjoyed how it was done. Unpredictable and laugh out loud funny and very touching.
