Review1:
It is nice to read the continuation of this epic series from the first book and series.
This book contain two plot line which both merged at the end, Eragon and Roran adventures.
Both had their own challenges to face and both had showed improvements and grew a lot stronger, physically and mentally. Praise of this!
However, the main attraction to this book would be unraveling of the elves world, in Ellesmera. It was nice to finally meet more elves, apart from Arya and to know more about
their culture and customs. But Eragon's training was utterly flat and boring, up to the point where I was craving to read about Roran's adventure instead. Which, had never ending hardships. A lot more intriguing to read about.
Few things that made me increased my rating were;
Eragon conversation with his master about belief and religion. very interesting content and philosophical views in a high fantasy book.
and the twisted ending.
Review2:
I flew through this book, I was so into the story that It was like I was watching TV. I constantly want to find out what is coming next. It is an easy read, but very interesting and imagery is both beautiful and horrific. The author does a good job characterizing good vs. evil characters as I found my stomach turn when certain characters were mentioned. I can't wait until the next book!
