I found this book after I read The Fault in Our Stars (should be italicized). That was the first book I read by John Green, and it is one of my absolute favorites, so I decided to check some more of his books out. This one also seemed pretty popular and it sounded interesting to me, so I chose to read it. I had a high expectation for this book, knowing how good TFIOS (italicized) was, and this book basically met that expectation. It was a humorous, mystery, teenage story, and I couldn't have had
...more fun going along the adventure with the characters. This book became my second favorite John Green book. It was actually very relatable for me, because it took place in Orlando/Winter Park, which is where I live, and it was cool to recognized the things mentioned in the story. I also understood what all the characters were going through, since they were in high school. A movie was also recently made for the book, and it was a pretty good movie (except they messed up the ending and it was a little frustrating). In the very beginning, they show a shot of a car driving down a neighborhood street, and it was the street I live on, so I thought that was pretty cool also. I think that the text of this book was trying to get people to want to find their true identity, and to explore themselves and what they are comfortable with, which was a good lesson to read through such an amazing/wild ride in the story. I would really recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is a miraculous journey, and I think everyone should enjoy it like I did. Again, just because it is a John Green book doesn't mean that it is only for girls. I think boys should read it too, because I know they will secretly enjoy it. Since the topics of this book are a little more mature, I would say that anyone from the age 12/13 and up. I think that adults can learn a lot of important things from this book also, so I recommend it to them to. This book quickly became another one of my favorites, and I'm sure that if you read it too, it will be the same for you.
